The 2008 edition of the World Beer Awards was great, as always. There were many tasty entries, and only a few awards to hand out. In the end, only a few prestigious brewers could prevail.
The quality of the applicants every year is astounding. It’s a great reminder that there are many up and coming brewers that are coming of age. As usual, there were many different types of beer to compare. I personally don’t know how the judges are able to make a decision because all the entries are undoubtable delicious.
Have any of you had a chance to try any of the winners? I personally haven’t had a chance to enjoy any of them yet, but I intend to give them all a try as soon as possible. My favorites are usually the Stouts, but I’m looking forward to trying all of them eventually.
I really enjoy following this event and look forward to the announcement of the winners. I hope it continues to highlight all these fantastic beers for many years to come.
I’m always happy to see the winners get the recognition they deserve. They undoubtedly put a lot of hard work and effort into their creations, and they deserve every bit of positive recognition they receive. I, for one, would like to congratulate all of the brewers who entered, and wish them tremendous success in the future.
