Drinkers and school pupils are not two sections of society you would say often go well together.
However in Chester the two social groups have been collecting beer bottle tops together in a bid to beat a world record.
More than 220,000 bottletops were massed by schools, with local pubs and restaurants doing their bit, for the record breaking mosaic.
However one group of hoarders have come out on top.
The Arches Primary School in Blacon collected the most bottle tops: more than 20,000.
This feat of collecting represented one 10th of that needed for the world record attempt which will be accredited by Guinness World Records.
As a reward this school of 300 children will have their school logo included in the mosaic.
And it’s not all schools, The Cheshire Cat on the A41 in Christleton collected several thousand bottle tops.
The establishment will also have its name represented in the mosaic......
