The strange world of beer

Can car
A student from Hertfordshire, England has built a life-size Ford Mustang from 4,000 empty cans of Bud.

An original 1965 Ford Mustang was being offered as a prize as part of the Bud Bucks promotion in the United Kingdom, giving consumers the chance to buy, bid or win a series of prizes via the website: www.budbucks.co.uk.

Jack Kirby from the University of Hertfordshire spent a month building his own, life-size, version out of 4,000 empty Budweiser cans, perpetuating the myth that what students have a lot of are empty beer cans and spare time (actually, Budweiser donated the cans).

The beer warmer
You’ve heard of a beer cooler, but have you every heard of a beer warmer? Neither had we, but a device has been spotted in the brauhauses of Germany which does exactly that. Comprising of a heating element with a plug attachment, it gets dipped in your beer and swirled around to bring it up to a tepid, uh warm, temperature.

Andy from Bier Mania! tours spotted it and kindly took these pictures for us. He even bought one (which yes, Andy, makes you very sad).

More gadgets
Our daily trawls through the internet have revealed yet more useless beer gadgetry.

Ever lost your beer at a barbecue or a party? You put it down somewhere and you go back to get it and it has been joined by 12 identical cans or bottles. You are faced with a choice: go and get another or pick the one you think might have been yours. It’s risky – you might pick one someone has used as an ashtray… ugh.
