Frederic Robinson Ltd has been producing fine beer since 1838. It was not until 1899 that Old Tom was first brewed at the brewery. It is brewed with Halcyon and crystal malt and a little chocolate malt. The beer is hopped with Goldings and has a bitterness of 35 units. It has a ripe vine fruits aroma with a delicious hint of chocolate as well as peppery hop resins. Port wine, dark malt, chocolate and bitter hops fill the mouth. Old Tom has won more awards in its category than any other beer sold in the UK. Including Supreme Champion Winter Beer Of Britain. Gold Medal at The International Brewing Awards Munich 2005.
