Nose : Spicy, sappy hop resins. Pale malt.
Palate : Bittersweet and creamy, but rather coarse. Almond-like, warming fermentation flavours – unexpected in a beer of this strength.
Finish : Warming, dry and gently bitter, with lingering malt sweetness.
Comments : A Russian lager with unusual flavours, but lacking finesse. Unless they come up with Western-style labels, you’re going to have a heck of a job finding this
beer on the shelf. Even the name is in Cyrillic at present, and looks nothing like its English equivalent!
