Nose : Very subdued. Malt and gentle chocolate.
Palate : Bittersweet. Smoothly malty with faint chocolate notes. Peppery, tangy hop. Caramel and pleasant barley flavours. Just a hint of cherry.
Finish : Dry, malty and yet mostly bitter. A little plain chocolate. Hops continue.
Comments : A somewhat frustrating red beer that keeps promising an explosion of rich, malty flavours but never quite
delivers. Very pleasant all the same.
