Abv: 4.5% Type: Brown Ale Bottle size: 500ml Country: England Brewery : Wye Valley Brewery
Price: Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 6
Nose : Biscuity and malty, with a little dark chocolate.
Palate : The same biscuity, malty flavours emerge on the tongue, with chocolaty roasted grain highlights. It’s not sweet, however: the darker grains and lightly fruity hops ensure good balance.
Finish : Dry, with bitter roasted malt.
Comments : A refreshingly malty alternative to the current wave of golden, hoppy ales. Brewed to mark the 60th
anniversary of the founding of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, whose ‘two swans’ logo was designed by Sir Peter Scott.
