Nose : Unexpectedly peppery, citrus and light. Aromas of orange and lemon lead over softly nutty malt.
Palate : Fairly spritzy, despite its firm, malty grounding (chocolate and toffee flavours). Lively, perfumed hop notes to the fore (peppery and gently orangey). Sultanas on the swallow.
Finish : Robust roasted grain takes over, combining with hops to develop a bitter finish. Dry, with a perfumed quality.
Comments : An enjoyable chameleon beer that strangely changes its personality from stage to stage.
