Nose : Massive attack of pear drops, drowning out chocolaty malt.
Palate : Bitter with more estery, pear drop flavours to the fore. Sweet, chocolaty malt behind. Faint blackcurrant fruitiness.
Finish : Bitter and drying. Fairly astringent, in fact. Chocolate/malt lingers softly.
Comments : A bronze beer that would be better if the chocolate flavours could fight their way through the dominant esters and bitterness.
