Nose : Tangy citrus fruits – orange, lime and especially grapefruit – lead over a soft malty base.
Palate : Yet more juicy citrus, with again grapefruit and lime to the fore, courtesy of the pungent, resinous US hops. Crisp, bitter and spicy.
Finish : Bitter, lip-smackingly hoppy and dry, with lingering citrus fruits.
Comments : A copper-coloured beer for hop lovers but with appeal to a far wider audience because of the excellent balance. An American classic.
