Nose : Abundant aromas of buttery, toffeeish malt, bitter oranges, tangy, spicy hop resins and sultanas.
Palate : Bursting with citrus fruitiness from the US hops, with zesty bitter oranges and grapefruit leading the way over a smooth, buttery malt base.
Finish : Long-lasting, defiantly hoppy, tangy finish.
Comments : The bottle describes this as ‘a classic English special bitter,’ but there aren’t so many British beers as bold and hoppy as this these days.
