Tasted by Jeff Evans in issue 2.
Nose : Immediately perfumed: nutmeg, coriander, cinnamon and ginger standing out among the spices. Lemon juice washes in the background.
Palate : Perfumed and spicy. Flavours of nutmeg and cinnamon in particular with a peppery ginger warmth beneath. Tangy citrus notes emerge from the base beer.
Finish : Warming and scented. Bitter citrus notes. Persistent ginger burn.
Comments : An acquired taste but a competent enhancement of RCH’s citrussy Firebox ale through the addition of a selection of seasonal spices.
