Nose : Chocolate and nutty malt. Hop fruitiness (subtle orange). Peppery, spicy resins. Very appealing.
Palate : No shortage of flavour: rich, tangy hops and full, nutty, lightly chocolaty, sweet malt. The strength is noticeable but does not unbalance the taste.
Finish : Lip-smackingly dry, bitter and hoppy with a toasted malt note.
Comments : Excellent value, strong, amber bitter, an ‘own label’ beer produced by the Freeminer Brewery in Gloucestershire.
