Abv: 11.5% Type: Barley Wine Bottle size: 275ml Country: England Brewery : JW Lees & Co Ltd
Price: Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 6

Nose : Complex, to say the least: vinous and alcoholic with aromas of creamy malt and tart berries, oranges and sultanas.
Palate : Silky smooth, syrupy sweet and gumtinglingly warm. More creamy malt, oranges and sultanas. It has the flavour and character to work brilliantly with desserts and cheeses.
Finish : Warm but smooth. Lingering sweet malt, a hint of toffee, hop spice and more fruit.
Comments : A world classic barley wine that could easily be served in sherry schooners. It’s brewed each autumn from the latest crops of barley and hops, and, though sweet, is
exceptionally moreish – beware!
