Nose : Slightly tart and vinously fruity. Treacle, liquorice and thick dark malt emerge.
Palate : Full bodied and packed with flavours. Sweetish up front, giving way to liquorice, vinous tangy bitterness, caramel and coffee. Gently warming.
Finish : The vinous sharpness burns the throat a little. Bitterness, coffee and liquorice in equal measure.
Comments : A bold, demanding beer for the Battle of Trafalgar commemorations. An acquired taste.
