Nose : Powerful, vinous and malty, with an almost raspberry-like fruitiness.
Palate : Sweet and fruity (red berries). Creamy malt. Balance comes from an earthy bitterness. Some tannins dry the mouth. Gumnumbing warmth.
Finish : Dry, tingly, fruity and pleasantly bitter. Creaminess continues.
Comments : An explosive ale to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot.
