Nose : Liquid Battenberg cake: full of marzipan and cherry.
Palate : Fairly bitter but rich in the same cherry and marzipan flavours.
Finish : More Battenberg as the bitterness fades on the swallow before returning when the hops kick in.
Comments : A nicely packaged, interesting and flavoursome beer that drinks a bit lighter than its 6% ABV. Would be better if a touch sweeter, perhaps.
