Abv: 5% Type: Wheat Beer Bottle size: 330ml Website: www.korenwolf.co.uk Country: Holland Price: Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 5
Nose : Grainy and bready, with subtle spices and banana, elderflower and bubblegum aromas. Strangely more like a weissbier’s aroma than a witbier’s.
Palate : Tart lemon and other fruit weave around the mouth freshening up sweetish, grainy, bready malt and other cereals.
Finish : Fairly chewy, dry and gently bitter.
Comments : Named after the overdramatic Netherlands word for a hamster (literally ‘corn wolf’), this Dutch beer
combines four different cereals in its mass and is laced with elderflowers as well as coriander and orange peel.
Score : 7.5
