Greene King IPA Export Strength

Abv: 5%
Type: Pale
Bottle size: 500ml
Country: England
Brewery : Greene King PLC
Price:
Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 7

Tasted by Jeff Evans in issue 7.
Nose : Keen hoppy aroma with lots of resins and suggestions of pear.
Palate : Crisp and clean, with hop resins still in evidence and more pears. Rather thin for its strength, however.
Finish : Dry and hoppy.
Comments : A pleasant enough and interesting progression from the ofteninsipid standard Greene King IPA, but it fails to deliver what’s really needed in a proper IPA – full body and a good smack of hops.
Score : 7.25
