Tasted by Jeff Evans in issue 5.
Nose : Like rummaging in a sack of hop leaves – fresh, resinous and fruity. Some biscuity malt as a backdrop.
Palate : Rich, earthy hop resins immediately to the fore, with a tart fruitiness developing. Very nicely balanced by malty sweetness.
Finish : Takes time to build but soon filled with tangy, almost nutty hops and biscuity grain.
Comments : A clean, ultra-fresh-tasting amber ale, loaded with flavour.
Score : 8.75
