Nose : Malty and creamy with a little treacle. Develops into a ‘malt loaf’ aroma.
Palate : Malt loaf flavours continue. Sweetish with an earthy hop balance. Sadly spoiled by papery oxidation notes.
Finish : Malty and bitter, with bitterness having the last word. Rather thin for its strength.
Comments : A chestnut-coloured brown ale that doesn’t really deliver, especially in the finish.
