Nose : Lots of citrus character, with sharp lemon juice and oranges competing with a herbal fragrance. Malt eventually emerges.
Palate : Gently bitter with a tart lemon accent and an unusual, earthy character. Some peppery warmth, but could use a little more sweetness.
Finish : Dry and increasingly bitter, but never aggressively so. Fairly thick with persistent tart lemon and spice notes.
Comments : A Scottish take on this Belgian beer style. Over carbonation suggests that the sample was not quite as it should be.
