Badger Golden Glory

Abv: 4.5%
Style: British fruit beer
Bottle size: 500ml
Website: www.hall-woodhouse.co.uk
Country: England
Brewery : The Hall & Woodhouse Brewery
Price:
Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 8

Tasted by Jeff Evans in issue 8.
Nose : Big wafts of floral, peachy, melony fruit, but it all seems a touch artificial and frighteningly like opening a can of air freshener.
Palate : Not as sweet or sickly as feared after the unsubtle, heavy aroma. It’s actually fairly crisp and pleasantly bitter with the same fruity, floral notes well in evidence.
Finish : Dry, bitter and ultimately hoppy, with persistent floral peach flavours.
Comments : It contains peach blossom and tastes too contrived for my liking, but I know this beer does have plenty of fans. The fruitiness would make it worth mixing and match with food.
Score : 7.25
