Badger England's Gold

Abv: 4.6%
Style: Summer Blonde Beer
Bottle size: 500ml
Country: England
Brewery : The Hall & Woodhouse Brewery
Price:
Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 7

Tasted by Jeff Evans in issue 7.
Nose : Full bitter citrus fruit – lemon, orange, grapefruit and a little tropical fruit, too.
Palate : Crisp and bittersweet with lots of juicy fruit. Citrus, melon and elderberry.
Finish : Dry, pleasantly bitter and hoppy, but well balanced.
Comments : A truly fruity, golden ale that will happily outlast England’s less than golden performance in the World Cup. An easy-drinking showcase for the First Gold hop, with a useful bar chart on the label showing degrees of maltiness, hoppiness and other flavours.
Score : 7.75
