Nose : Malty and slightly rubbery with a light hop spiciness.
Palate : Castégna means chestnut and the sweet nuts really do come through in the taste. They’re held in check, though, and do just enough to offset the sweet malt and the drying hops. Well balanced and crisp.
Finish : Nicely bitter with developing hop character and lingering chestnut flavour.
Comments : An unusual offering from a Swiss brewery, with a small proportion of the profits going to support chestnut
projects in the Italian-speaking region of the country. Interesting and successful.
