Reviewed in: Beers of the World Issue 5

Tasted by Jeff Evans in issue 5.
Nose : Mellow, lightly malty and almost winey, with a faint citrus fruitiness and a pleasant dash of herbal sourness.
Palate : Sweet, silky malt to the fore, followed by spicy, warming alcohol notes and a counter attack of slightly tart hops.
Finish : Hops grow, drying the mouth and having the final say, even though sticky malt lingers on.
Comments : Quite a smooth, golden, Spanish lager but rather strong tasting. The hoppy finish is not bad but the overall impression is that this is just too strong to be enjoyable.
Score : 6.5
